Surgeries & Consultations By Appointment

Our professional vets are always ready to provide healthcare advice

Please refer to the contacts page for our Hospital and branch surgery details. The opening times of the Hospital are listed, but branch surgery clientele will need to contact their surgery direct for hours. Please telephone or visit your surgery to make an appointment. We regret that bookings cannot be made via the website.

If you are not yet registered with us, then it is important to telephone your nearest branch in order for us to create a record for your pets. All of our computers are linked so that if you need to visit our Hospital out of hours, but are registered at another branch, we will still be able to access all your pet's details. If your pet has records at another veterinary surgery and you wish to transfer to us, please ask for all details to be forwarded to us. This is very important for the continued treatment of your pet and is a requirement of the RCVS.

Please try to give us as much notice as possible when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment or surgical procedure.

Bringing Your Dog to the Surgery

In the interest of both your own and your dog's safety, please use a collar and lead. It is not a good idea to feed your dog directly before coming to the surgery as over-excitement or nerves could make him sick, and it could increase the risk of vomiting should an anaesthetic be required. Please allow your dog time to pass urine and faeces before entering the waiting room!

Bringing Your Cat to the Surgery

Cats are escape artists and can easily wriggle out of blankets, boxes or their owner's arms! To avoid a disaster, please ensure that they are brought in an escape-proof carrier. We have safe cat carriers available for sale at reception. As with dogs, we advise withholding food prior to a visit.

Bringing Your Rabbit or Other Small Pet to the Surgery

Please bring rabbits and other small pets to the surgery in an escape-proof box, and do not put any hay or straw in the box, just shredded newspaper or a towel. Food does not need to be withheld.

If you have a seriously ill animal, please let us know in advance so that we can arrange to make your visit as stress-free as possible.
