Grove Lodge Veterinary Group Ltd is a partnership owned by vets Andrew Ash and David Constantine.
Andrew joined the practice in 1985. With extensive experience in small animal practice, he sees a mixed caseload including medical referrals. As superintendent of a quarantine kennel, he has a wide ranging knowledge of import, export and exotic diseases. He has acted for the RSPCA in prosecution cases for the last 15 years, providing witness statements in order to attain justice in cases of animal cruelty. Andrew was examiner for the RCVS Small Animal Medicine Certificate from 2001-2005 and chief examiner in 2006. He is an internal verifier for the RCVS Veterinary Nursing examinations. He currently chairs the BSAVA Congress Committee, having been responsible for the Commercial Exhibition for the last 3 years.
When he is not involved in his varied working activities, Andrew is a keen supporter of his children's sporting careers. He also enjoys fishing, family walks with the dogs and cookery.
David has been qualified for over 30 years. He joined Grove Lodge in 1982, having already successfully established a busy South London practice. David has taken part in several radio shows, and has written numerous articles for a range of publications. He is the veterinary surgeon responsible for the care of the many dogs at the Dogs' Trust Rehoming Centre in Shoreham, and helped to establish the Worthing & District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS), which is a major local animal charity.
When David is not hard at work, he enjoys sports. He has a mean handicap on the golf course and is a keen cricketer. He and his wife Lorraine enjoy walking and travelling.
