Mark Pertwee

BVMS, Cert SAS, Cert VDI, MRCVS

Mark qualified from Glasgow in 1995 and worked as the principle surgeon in a busy small animal practice before joining Grove Lodge in 2005 as a full time surgeon, providing an internal and external referral service. Mark obtained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery in August 2003.

Mark has a varied orthopaedic caseload including: simple and complex fracture repairs, TPLO and lateral fabella suture for cruciate ligament disease, surgical correction of patella luxation, carpal and tarsal arthrodesis, hip luxation and lameness work up.

Mark also enjoys soft tissue surgery including: TECA BO, perineal herniorrhaphy, perineal urethrostomy, laryngeal tieback, thoracotomy, oncological surgery and wound reconstruction.

Mark has a particular interest in radiology and in 2010 he obtained the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
