Inpatient care is of the utmost importance at Grove Lodge. When your pet is in our care, our qualified and experienced veterinary and nursing teams are always carefully monitoring their wellbeing. We are fortunate enough to be able to provide 24-hour nursing care with a minimum of two nurses dealing with our inpatients at all times. A vet is on the premises until at least midnight each night, longer if required and always on call when not here.
We aim to keep you informed and updated of your pet's progress in the Hospital as much as possible. The vet in charge of the inpatients in the Hospital will phone you daily between 11 am and 1 pm. To help those of you who are keen to get an early update we are able to provide a brief and personalised text update between 9 am and 10 am if you provide your mobile phone number.
We are happy for you to phone in to get an update from our nursing team but would be very grateful if these calls could be restricted where possible to between the hours of 3 pm and 4 pm and 8 pm and 10 pm. We appreciate that there are always exceptional circumstances when this is not possible and we aim to be as accommodating as possible.
It is vital that you are available on one of your contact numbers at all times while your pet is with us. Please contact reception if you will be on a different number than given initially.
